Hey! We hope you’re keeping well and busy during these strange times. It’s been weird not doing our usual things around this time like announcing waves of the line-up, planning weird fringe activities to host or throwing launch parties at Clwb. We really miss doing these things.
With this comes the sad announcement that we have to cancel Sŵn Festival 2020.
We didn’t want to just steam ahead with planning for a festival that would likely not happen in October, and keep people hanging on for last-minute decisions. We want to have the best possible opportunity to build on the momentum established over the last couple of festivals and deliver another event full of new emerging artists from across the country, and beyond. With the situation as it is, we just can’t deliver the festival as we want it, and as you expect it. 2020 ticket holders will be contacted shortly by Ticketweb and will receive a refund.
Sŵn Festival will return in 2021.
Thank you for sticking with us during this tough time. We’ve all seen how quickly things can change and how close to the edge a lot of our music venues are. Please continue to support our music venues – they need your support more now than ever. Sŵn Festival, as well as so many other great multi-venue festivals across the UK, would not exist without the incredible venues we have to offer. Doeddwn ni ddim eisiau bwrw ‘mlaen i drefnu gŵyl na fyddai’n debygol o ddigwydd ym mis Hydref, yn gadael pobl i aros am newidiadau munud-olaf. Ni am gipio’r cyfle gorau oll i adeiladu ar y momentwm a sefydlwyd dros y ddwy ŵyl ddiwethaf gan ddarparu digwyddiad arall llawn artistiaid o ar draws y wlad, a thu hwnt . Gyda’r sefyllfa fel y mae, dydy hi ddim yn bosib i ni gyflawni gŵyl fel y hoffem, ac fel ydych chi’n disgwyl. Mi fydd Ticketweb yn cysylltu â deiliaid tocynnau yn fuan i drefnu ad-daliad.
Mi fydd Gŵyl Sŵn yn ôl yn 2021.
