Pigs-Pigs-Pigs-Pigs-Pigs-Pigs-Pigs

It’s been absolutely great to see the Pigs’ brutal ascent, selling out bigger and bigger venues while not compromising one inch of heaviosity. A vital cog in Newcastle’s sweaty and fertile music scene – vocalist Matt Baty has released Lower Slaughter, Terminal Cheesecake and more on his Box label, two Pigs play in Richard Dawson’s band – Pigsx7 have been building their fearsome live reputation for a few years now, earning worship through punishing doom riffs and metallic howling. Their debut album Feed The Rats twisted heavy rock into long, pummeling shapes; latest LP King Of Cowards condenses all the euphoric anguish into leaner, still devastating attacks. They’ll kill you, you’ll like it.
