From the green hills of the South Wales Valleys, son of a sheep farmer, Tom Jenkins made his own path into music. Incorporating his experiences of living in an ex-coal mining community, along with the beautiful, carved out landscapes of home into his melodies, Tom crafts harmonic songs influenced by country, folk, indie-pop and emo music. After cutting his teeth as the frontman of Straight Lines, a band of school mates that went on to play shows all over the world, touring with Motorhead and The Presidents of the USA, Jenkins decided to return to his hill farming roots and work as a travelling shepherd. Eventually laying roots in New Zealand, Jenkins claims the isolation of the outback was the inspiration behind his debut album Misery In Comfort, produced by Elijah Ford and released in 2018.
