As a youngster growing up in London, Eve Owen explored song writing as a form of catharsis, adopting the stream-of-consciousness style that still informs her music today. A well-versed instrumentalist influenced by her ukulele-playing Grandfather, Eve began composing on guitar and piano at the tender age of 13. Her music has a certain vintage aura to it, whilst retaining some contemporary parts. Her reimagining of folk with a combination of machine sampled and acoustic drums, plucking frets and intermingled vocal layers captivate and conduct even the most rigid listener.
