Rupert has enjoyed a lifelong career in marketing, focusing on music from 2004, when he took on DIY as bedroom blog and has steered it to a global music marketing, media and event company, with the leading independent music title – DIY Magazine – at its core, which now has a 1m+ following around the world.
Alongside the business management, he heads up the music and marketing partnerships for the @DIYmagazine cross platform media, delivering marketing solutions for labels, festivals, tour promoters, consumer brands, and music education and industry bodies, looking to connect with its GenZ and Millennial following for whom music discovery is a key passion. A key part of our ethos is helping the careers of emerging artists and future music industry aspirants.
Although based in London our audience is strong on USA, Canada, Australia and mainland Europe.
