While Lawrence has become widely known for being the frontman of Deadletter (who will also be playing the festival) make no mistake; his solo project is not just acoustic versions of the full band songs, with his album “The Hate” being a complete breath of fresh air and a chance to explore new sonic ground. The fantastic “Unreasonable Deeds” and “Man Overboard” are sweet like honey, with tender vocal harmonies and bright saxophone that are sure to make one smile. If you fancy a bit of euphoria after the sweaty madness of Deadletter, then I would circle Mr Lawrence’s name on your programme.
