The solo project of Dylan Hughes, Ynys takes inspiration from a range of sounds from Ethiopian Jazz to even the likes of Elliot Smith to create a more Folkier Pop-esque sound that has made him stand out from other acts within the Welsh grassroots scene. Last year’s ‘Dosbarth North’ landed him a nomination for the Welsh Music Prize as well as an array of critical acclaim from the likes of God is in the TV.
