Named as “One To Watch” by Rolling Stone this year, it isn’t hard to see why World News are attracting a lot of buzz at the moment. Just take a listen to their expansive sound which switches from alt-rock to psychedelic. They combine atmospheric guitar riffs with seductive, nonchalant melodies.
Their latest single ‘Sidestep’ is reminiscent of ‘Country Girl’ era Primal Scream, before tailing off into delightfully weird territory. They’ve already supported Doves and Editors, and their songs seem tailor made for the biggest stages.
We’ll be in awe at the huge sounds of World News at Sŵn Festival this year.
