Tommy Barlow is one of the most exciting new artists coming out of Cambridge at the moment. With one of the most distinct voices you’ll ever hear, it’s in a similar vein to King Krule. He studied electronic music at Guildhall, which led to him creating his own compositions from field recordings, guitars, strings and samples.
He self-released a mixtape in 2024 titled ‘Mustard Seeds’ and it led to him picking up gigs at venues such as The George Tavern and Shacklewell Arms. Barlow is open to new and exciting sounds, even having the odd bagpipe in there as well. There are shades of Mount Kimbie and James Blake in his work.
An exciting new artist treading the line of electronic and folk, come hear this atmospheric blend at Sŵn Festival.
