Lo Rays’ brand of post-apocalyptic pop metal explodes into life at any given moment. The band’s deeply cool aesthetic brings in sci-fi elements and when they want to embody their raviest selves, it feels as though you’re being attacked by 1000 tiny lasers.
Formed in 2018 after Finnish singer Laura Takala moved to Glasgow, the band have quickly established a unique sound. They’ve been nominated for ‘Act of the Year’ by BBC Introducing Scotland, and in March released a new EP titled ‘Re: Birth Sequence’, which showed their mature, genre-bending sound.
Their appearance at Sŵn will be their first time in Wales, we can’t wait for them to touch down and get us raving.
