London-based Little Grandad are a part of the Windmill scene. But, whilst it has become associated with post-punk bands, Little Grandad are more of an alt-country project. Made up of brothers Harry and Jack Lower and friends, the band have already amassed a huge amount of live shows in just over a year as a band.
Having played more than 100 shows already, the band have been learning as they go. Preferring to test songs to the reaction of a crowd first, they’ve now released three singles. Featuring distinct vocals, breezy guitar riffs and four-part harmonies, they have been finetuned amongst crowds all over the world. They also had the rare honour of being a band with no music released at the time to do a 6Music session for Steve Lamacq.
Little Grandad’s set at Sŵn this year is a fantastic opportunity to catch one of the buzziest new acts in a trend of British bands embracing a more American style of indie.
