Jack Wolter has an impressive musical resume, being one-half of the band Penelope Isles and playing the guitar for the triumphant CMAT. However, Cubzoa’s music is sonically the opposite of the latter, bathing in emotive ambience, letting way for the oh-so delicate vocals that sit atop. His song “I Dreamed A Beach” is a blissful moment that revels in lush violins, making it impossible to remain dry-eyed. There’s a rarity on display here that must be seen to be believed, but bring tissues.
