Bangor’s Casi has led a career in which her musical works have been performed by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, and more recently Sinfonia Cymru. Formerly Wales’ youth poet laureate, she has wowed with her seriously impressive vocals, and after being a bilingual singer earlier in her career, she’s now producing work solely in Welsh.
The latest of which was her debut album ‘Plentyn yr Haul’, which was released in March. It featured collaborations with Siân James, Gareth Bonello, Tecwyn Ifan and more. It’s a collection of songs that are beautiful and poetic.
We’ll be completely entranced by the ethereal beauty of Casi’s songs at Sŵn this year.
