Blood Wizard is the project of South-London based Cai Burns, who hails from Nottingham. Originally releasing debut album ‘Western Spaghetti’ in 2021, the project has grown from a solo project into a fully fledged band. Burns is now joined by members Faye Rita Robinson, Sebastian Buestone and Adrian Vitelleschi Cook. In 2024, the second Blood Wizard album ‘Grinning William’ was released.
More recently, they returned with a new EP ‘Lucky Life’. An indicator of the band’s evolution, they’re more confident than ever before, with a melodic indie sound reminiscent of the American alt-90s scene. Songs such as ‘Lick The Big Star’ build up with euphoric melodies before landing blows with heavy riffs.
Blood Wizard have come into their own, and we can’t wait to welcome them to Sŵn this year, where they’ll be charming us with their alt-rock brilliance.
