Formed from ashes of Nottingham punx Plaids, Soul Structure play fast and distorted with sudden tempo shifts and weird looping breakdowns which fall apart into nothing. Bringing to mind the likes of early emo bands like Moss Icon and Assfactor 4, it’s in the quieter moments of Soul Structure’s music that band’s diverse pool of influences really shines through – recalling everything from the intricate emo of Nottingham contemporaries Bob Tilton to spiritual and nature-inspired ‘freak folk’ from the 60s and 70s.
