Ellie’s music has an organic, sincere sound that combines folk, pop and alternative. Since the release of her debut EP ‘City Lights’, Ellie has performed at the House of Commons in the company of Mark Radcliffe and Cerys Matthews, and signed to Charlotte Church’s publishing company Bounce Publishing, which resulted in her song ‘Company’ being featured in the 2014 Peacocks Christmas advertising campaign. Her new EP ‘Are You Listening?’ was released on July 13th and showcases her rapid growth and maturity, reaching number 15 in the iTunes Singer-Songwriter chart. Over the summer, Ellie toured with Kizzy Crawford and Jake Morley, picking up new fans along the way. She also played a set at How The Light Gets In Festival, following after BBC Radio 6’s Tom Robinson, who has described himself as a ‘long-term future supporter’ of her ‘quite brilliant’ work. Ellie Makes Music maintains a certain value that is built for the long haul, rather than just a ‘hot act for the minute’.
